What is TRX Suspension® Training?

Born in the U.S. Navy SEALS and developed by Fitness Anywhere®, Suspension Training® is a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. Suspension training workouts give participants an edge over conventional strength training by improving flexibility, balance and core stability at once.

How does Suspension Training® Work?

When a body hangs from an overhead support point, such as when you hang from a pull-up bar with both hands, it’s center of gravity seeks the lowest point to the ground. If you were to let go and hold the bar with only one hand your body would tilt and rotate, once again, so that your center of gravity would hang at the lowest central point.

Exercising on the TRX® utilizes gravity and movement to generate neuromuscular responses to changes in body position and mechanical advantages.  It also integrates strength and balance into a format that taxes the nervous system at a high level and maximizes the benefits of bodyweight exercise for faster results!

The bottom line is that all fitness levels can benefit from incorporating the TRX Suspension Trainer® into their workouts. We can adjust the intensity of any exercise in three ways to customize a workout for you based on your strength, flexibility or other special needs. We do this by:
